Window World sells 1,000,000th window of 2012

Milestone window goal reached for the fourth consecutive year

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. — Window World, Inc.®, America’s largest replacement window and home remodeling company, has sold more than 1,000,000 windows annually for the fourth year in a row. The monumental 1,000,000th window was sold by the Window World of Youngstown store located in Boardman, Ohio and was produced last week.

Window World has seen continued growth over recent years even while other home remodeling companies felt the pressure of a national recession. Earlier this year, Window World was named the number one window company in the United States in the Qualified Remodeler “Top 500″ and was ranked the number one replacement contractor nationwide by Remodeling Magazine in its “Remodeling 550″ list. In June, the company also earned the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for the fifth consecutive year.

Tammy Whitworth, Window World chairman and CEO, explained the success of the brand in an interview withReplacement Contractor magazine earlier this year. “We can’t control a lot of things, but we can control our commitment to improving the business model,” Whitworth said. “Our locations are locally owned and nationally supported so the owner has the support of a national company when it comes to sales and marketing while running that business in his or her own market.”
